ATMOSPHERIC WATER COLLECTING DEVICE Sector of the technique
The present invention is related to the collection of atmospheric water, for the supply of water to applications of any kind, in the forestry, agricultural, livestock, human consumption, etc., proposing an apparatus that allows to collect the water contained in the air and of meteorological phenomena, such as rain, fog and others, in advantageous conditions of safety and efficiency.
State of the art
The use of atmospheric water has been known since ancient times, for consumer applications in places where there is a shortage of water supply by the usual forms, techniques for natural water resources have been put into practice for the collection of atmospheric water for this purpose. techniques based on the use of artificial devices.
The artificial devices developed for this atmospheric water collection function were initially vertical flat structures, formed by a frame provided in its interior with transverse and / or longitudinal wires, thus determining a screen in which the humidity of the air or meteorological phenomena are deposited on the wires, to form drops of a size that can not be sustained on the wires and fall, collecting said droplets, in a container arranged for this purpose in the lower part.
Said flat structures present a disadvantage of resistance against the winds that affect them, resulting, for that reason, practically inapplicable in places where the prevailing winds are moderate or strong, since there are many deteriorations of the structures and the cost of maintenance of them is excessively high.
Faced with this problem, solutions of vertical prismatic structures have been developed, generally rectangular, such as the Utility Model ES

1068289U, formed by a base in which there is a container for collecting water, joining on the corners of said base vertical bars, which in turn are joined together in the upper part, by stringers and crossbars, arranging on the walls of the structure and internally between cables of the upper part and of the lower part, meshes on which water condenses from the humidity of the air, to fall into the collection container disposed at the base.
Said prismatic structures solve in an acceptable way the problem of resistance of the flat structures, in front of moderate winds, but in front of strong winds they still present little security of resistance, since such strong winds can deform them, resulting in such case the most expensive repairs. than those of flat structures.
Therefore, it is evident that a structure that is satisfactorily resistant to moderate and strong winds, and that allows to temporarily solve exceptional moments of excessively strong winds, keeping the structural and functional characteristics of the structure intact, will be advantageously preferred for the mentioned application of Atmospheric water collection.
Object of the invention
According to the invention, an apparatus designed for the aforementioned function of collecting atmospheric water is proposed, with structural characteristics that allow it to cope in conditions of safety to winds of any intensity, offering at the same time an optimum functional efficiency for the collection of water by condensation of air humidity.
This apparatus object of the invention consists of a prismatic structure, preferably rectangular in shape, comprising a base that is anchored on an installation foundation and in which a water collection container is arranged, joining, at least in the zones from the corners of said base, vertical bars, which in turn are joined together at the top, by stringers and crossbars.
According to the invention, diagonal braces are formed on the larger faces of the prismatic structure forming reinforcing blades; while the smaller faces of the

prismatic structure are determined with a lattice structuring, being arranged between the smaller faces of the structure, above the base and in the upper part, parallel bars, in which are fastened vertical meshes of smaller width than the larger faces of the structure, with an arrangement of said meshes in quincunx in relation to the front surface of the structure, while around the structure other meshes are arranged that cover on the outside the larger faces and the smaller faces.
It is thus an apparatus that allows to support with confidence the strong winds force of frontal incidence, thanks to the reinforcement that determine the lattices of formation of the smaller faces of the prismatic structure; and that also allows to support safely the incidence of strong lateral winds, thanks to the reinforcement determined by the diagonal braces of the larger faces of the prismatic structure and the bars that join the smaller faces in the upper part and above the base.
Said apparatus is also very efficient for collecting water from atmospheric humidity, since both the meshes of the outer covering and the vertical meshes of the interior condense on them the moisture to form drops that fall into the collection container located at the base; determining the vertical meshes of the interior, thanks to its staggered arrangement, a labyrinthine path of air circulation through the apparatus, which favors the uptake of moisture by said vertical meshes.
The outer covering mesh of the front face of the apparatus is also provided with openings that favor the entry of air to pass through the apparatus, which determines an entry of greater amount of air that circulates in the interior between the meshes vertical arranged in a quincunx, thus achieving a capture of more moisture to condense into drops of water.
The support of the base of the structure on the installation foundation is established by means of anchoring seats, with respect to which said base of the structure is joined by folding hinges in one of the frontal parts and practicable locks. vertical retention in the opposite front part; whereby the apparatus can be lowered very easily to a lying position, manually or with mechanical actuating means, for maintenance operations, or for a provisional provision of security against alerts of exceptionally strong winds, allowing to prevent said winds from causing deterioration in the device arranged vertically.

The water collection container is held at the base of the prismatic structure with a removable arrangement, said container being easily removed for cleaning or any maintenance operation. This water collection container has a bottom slightly inclined towards a side where an evacuation channel is defined which in turn has a bottom inclined towards an end provided with a drain, so that the water that is collected in said container it is completely evacuated from it, without being retained in the interior any water that permanently may be corrupted. On the evacuation channel there is a grid that acts as a filter preventing the passage of dirt that may fall into the container, said grid being removable for cleaning.
Therefore, the proposed apparatus results from advantageous characteristics for the function of collecting atmospheric water to which it is intended, acquiring its own life and preferred character with respect to the apparatuses that currently exist of the same function.

Detailed description of the invention
The object of the invention relates to an apparatus designed to collect water from the humidity of the air and meteorological phenomena, such as rain, fog, etc., based on a prismatic structure (1), preferably of rectangular plan, which is arranged vertically, in which internal meshes (2) and mesh (3) of external covering are incorporated, on which the moisture is deposited and condensed to fall to a container (4) for collecting water, located at the bottom .
The prismatic structure (1) comprises a base (5), in which the water collection container (4) is arranged, said base (5) being attached to an installation foundation by means of anchors (6), a whose base are joined at least in the corner areas, a vertical bars (7), which in turn are joined together at the top by means of stringers (8) and crossbars (9). Depending on the dimensions of the apparatus, the prismatic structure (1) can incorporate vertical bars (7) also in the middle area of the larger faces, as well as longitudinal members (8) and crossbars (9) for joining said vertical bars (7). ), at an average height.
In the larger faces of the prismatic structure (1), diagonal braces (10) are incorporated, which form reinforcing blades in the lateral direction and, in addition, in the upper part and above the base (5), are arranged between the smaller lateral faces parallel transversal bars (11), which in turn contribute to the reinforcement of the structural assembly in that lateral direction; while the smaller faces are determined with lattice formations (12) that confer resistance of the structural assembly in the frontal direction. In this way, it is a structural assembly that allows to withstand, in the practical function of the atmospheric water collection device, the efforts of moderate or strong incidental winds, both frontal and lateral, without the structure

prismatic (1) is deformed.
For this practical function of the apparatus, the meshes (2) that are disposed inside are provided with a smaller width than the prismatic structure (1), said meshes (2) being incorporated in a staggered distribution with respect to the width of the prismatic structure (1), in an upright position between the crossbars (11) of the upper part and those that go above the base (5), thereby obtaining an arrangement that determines a labyrinthine path of air passage through the apparatus, facilitating that the humidity thereof is retained in said meshes (2).
On the other hand, it is provided that the mesh (3) of outer covering that is provided on the front front face, present air intake openings (13), as seen in Figure 7, which facilitates that the interior of the apparatus circulate a greater air flow, increasing with it the pick up of humidity on the meshes (2) of the interior.
The fastening of the base (5) of the prismatic structure (1), on the anchoring seats (6), is established by means of hinges (14) in one of the front parts of the apparatus, as shown in the figure 8; while in the opposite front part there are disposable locks (15) for vertical retention, as seen in Figure 9.
In this way, by releasing the retention of the operable locks (15), the structural assembly of the apparatus can be pivoted into abatement, as shown in Figure 10, allowing it to be positioned lying on the ground, which facilitates carrying out maintenance operations and also the possibility of temporarily taking advantage of such abatement as security in the presence of extraordinarily strong winds, in order to avoid any deterioration of the structural set by the force of these winds. The tilting of the structural assembly, for the abatement and the disengagement, can be carried out manually or by means of an automatic actuating mechanism that can even be commanded from a distance, without this altering the concept of the invention.
The water collection container (4) is held in the base (5) of the prismatic structure (1) with a removable arrangement, and can be easily removed for cleaning or maintenance operations, without having to disassemble the structural assembly of the apparatus.
Said water collecting container (4) is formed by a contour box coinciding with the base (5) of the prismatic structure (1) and open at the top,

having a bottom (16) slightly inclined towards a channel (17) extending longitudinally on one side of the drawer with a bottom in turn inclined towards an end provided with a drain (18). In this way, the water collected in said container (4) is completely drained by the drain (18) of the channel (17), without leaving any water retained inside.
On the channel (17) is also provided the incorporation of a grid (not shown), in a removable, which retains any dirt that could fall into the drawer, which can be removed easily, for cleaning when necessary by the dirt accumulation on it.
